Wormhole Experiment VR
A downloadable game for Windows
A short VR puzzle experience in space.
Travel through a wormhole and see what's on the other side. Scan the system and return to earth, as long as nothing goes wrong...
This is a game that me and a fellow student (Santeri Johansson) developed for a year for our final thesis. I was in charge of 3D, Audio and visuals while he was in charge of implementing VR and managing Steam VR Unity plugin and coding.
Developed with HTC Vive. Requires SteamVR.
If a tool doesn't work, check your bindings in steam vr bindinings for your controllers and see the Tools tab.
Tested to work with Occulus Rift, Valve Index and Mixed Reality.

How do I reset the reactor core?
I've tried to line up the green lines (at various levels) and the blue lines and the green lines to the blue lines.
Then I tried to switch them to the lowest and the highest levels.
Each time I lower the reactor again but nothing seems to work?
Sorry for the very late reply. The core values need to be close to the indicated ones on the display. Once they are close enough wait a little. If nothing happens then fidget with the levers. It should work.
A great looking game with responsive controls and some nice looking puzzles but it does lack direction.
I played it a few times. The first time I just left the bridge at the start and went exploring. Only at the end did I see the 'start travel' and 'scan systems' buttons and I then ended up at the wormhole with (I think) nothing else to do.
The second time, I went to the wormhole but took too long looking for the helmet (when the cracks appeared) that the doors locked and I was stuck on the bridge. But then nothing happened (like running out of air or the ship imploding) with 50+ minutes left on the clock.
I didn't understand the 'fuse' puzzle. Can you give a clue?
Thanks for sharing though. I enjoyed it so far.
Hi and thanks for playing!
Sorry to hear that the game bugged out like that for you. We ran out of time to develop the game in the end so some aspects of the game sadly were left unchecked and some were left out entirely.
Here's a hint for the window puzzle. The helmet is not in the bridge. There are two "closets" in the ship. Find both to get what you were looking for.
Here's a hint for the Power Junction puzzle ("fuse puzzle"). When on the bridge. The screen SHOULD show you a diagram and the needed connections to make of the TOP and BOTTOM rows of fuses. What you need for the connections are in the same room as the junction box.
There are posters in the rooms with the fuse and oxygen scrubber puzzles that have information as well. Taking your time and gathering the necessary clues in game should be enough to figure out the solutions.
Thank you again for playing.
